Kathleen Pettingill has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business law.
Backed by 18 years of experience in the legal realm, Ms. Pettingill most recently served as a staff attorney with Baker & Hostetler in Cleveland, Ohio from 1988 to 2001. Specializing in business law, she gained earlier experience between 1983 and 1988 at her own practice for one year, as an associate at Goldfarb & Reznick and with the legal department of Chessie System R.R. In her first position, she was a clerk to a judge of the Ohio Court of Appeals for the Eighth District.
To remain abreast of her industry, Ms. Pettingill maintains affiliation with the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association and the Cleveland Bar Association. She is also a member of the Audubon Society, Friends of Nags Head Woods, Nature Conservancy, Phi Beta Kappa and Sierra Club, of which she is a former vice president, chair of the membership committee and executive committee member. Civically, Ms. Pettingill is also a former chair of the pastoral search committee at Olstead Community Church, president and board member of Cuyahoga Trails Council and treasurer and board member of Friends of the Crooked River.
Ms. Pettingill received a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania in 1977. She went on to matriculate at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, where she obtained a Master of Science in social administration and a Doctor of Jurisprudence, both in 1982. Shortly thereafter, she was admitted to practice in the state of Ohio. To attest to her legacy, Ms. Pettingill can also be found in the sixth and ninth editions of Who’s Who in American Law and the 16th edition of Who’s Who of American Women.
