Having accrued more than 25 years of professional experience practicing corporate and business law, Mr. Hudspeth is renowned for his legal prowess as the chief executive officer, president and principal attorney of Hudspeth Law Firm in Phoenix, Arizona. Since spearheading his firm in 1992, areas of practice to his credit include business and commercial law, copyrights, computer crimes and law, multidistrict litigation, mergers and acquisitions, formation and business planning, directors and officers liability, uniform commercial code and joint ventures. Simultaneously, Mr. Hudspeth had excelled as a professor of business law at Arizona State University from 2002 to 2007.
Finding great success throughout the course of his legal career, Mr. Hudspeth was recently chosen to be featured in the next issue of the AZ Business Leaders Publication in the category of Business and Commercial Litigation for 2020 and 2021. Notably, he earned an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell in 2015 and was selected as One of the Top 100 Lawyers in Arizona in 2020. Earlier, the Maricopa County Bar Association honored Mr. Hudspeth as Volunteer Lawyer of the Month in 1990, having also received the Maricopa County Volunteer Lawyers Certificate of Commendation in 1988. He attributes his vast success to being surrounded by brilliant people, along with luck, creativity and a desire to learn.
Matriculating at Wichita State University, Mr. Hudspeth earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology, sociology, economics and philosophy in 1970 and a Master of Philosophy in 1972. One decade later, he sought a Doctor of Jurisprudence, which he attained from the Arizona State University College of Law in 1986. Shortly thereafter, he was admitted to practice in Arizona, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona and the U.S. Court of Appeals Ninth Circuit. In addition, he received a Public Instruction for Lawyers degree from Harvard Law School in 1999.
Before attending law school, Mr. Hudspeth held a stock broker’s license at the age of 21 and owned his own business at the age of 23. Between 1972 and 1985, he dabbled within the areas of restaurant establishments, investment real estate and bath shops. Presently, he maintains affiliation with the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, American Bar Association, State Bar of Arizona and Maricopa County and Bar Associations. To add to his accomplishments, Mr. Hudspeth has published two books on law and is the founder of the radio programs” Law on the Edge” and “Law Talk.” Looking ahead, he plans to study at Oxford University.
