D. Brandon Christian, Esq., Chief Legal Counsel at Union County Sheriff’s Office, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the law.
Mr. Christian initially graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2006. He subsequently earned a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2009. Furthermore, Mr. Christian was admitted to practice law by the North Carolina State Bar, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of North Carolina and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Mr. Christian began his career as the assistant district attorney for the Scotland County District Attorney’s Office. In 2014, he established the Law Offices of D. Brandon Christian PLLC and flourished as the police attorney for the city of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Shortly thereafter, he worked as the managing partner at NC Law Enforcement Advising Group PLLC in 2018. Since 2019, he has served as the chief legal counsel at the Union County Sheriff’s Office. His most notable achievement was his representation of Terry Buchanan, the former sheriff of Aston, North Carolina who was facing unprecedented criminal, civil and special proceedings, and had been indicted by the district attorney. Mr. Christian was the principal author and brief writer who drafted the response which resulted in the case being thrown out. The civil case was eventually dismissed and the sheriff was exonerated.
