John Driskill, Partner at Morgan & Weisbrod LLP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in disability law.
Desiring to help people on a case-by-case basis, Mr. Driskill pursued a career in law to serve his community and become a well-rounded citizen. Initially studying business administration and management at the Southwest Baptist University, he later earned a Bachelor of Science in finance and economics from the University of Missouri in 1983 and a Master of Business Administration from Baylor University in 1984. He began his career serving as an associate in investment banking at Underwood, Neuhaus & Co., Dean Witter Reynolds and Masterson Moreland Whisman Sauer between 1984 and 1991. In 1992, Mr. Driskill obtained a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the South Texas College of Law, and was admitted to practice in Texas and Missouri, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Federal Court for the Fifth Circuit and the U.S. District Court for all of the Districts of Texas .
Since 1998, Mr. Driskill has excelled as a partner at Morgan & Weisbrod LLP, with which he specializes in handling Social Security disability cases. Likewise, he has been board-certified in Social Security disability law by the National Board of Legal Specialty Certification since 2009. To remain aware of developments in his industry, he maintains his affiliation with the Houston Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas and the National Organization of Social Security Claimants Representatives, for which he was appointed as the immediate past president in 2018 and 2019. In addition, he has been recognized as one of Houston’s Top Lawyers for the People by H Magazine since 2006. He attributes his career success to his hard work and a little bit of luck. In the coming years, Mr. Driskill aims to continue working to become the best advocate possible for his clients.
