Bruce L. Marshall, Executive Vice President and General Counsel at AIC Title Insurance, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in aviation law.
From watching his father excel as a claims manager, Mr. Marshall was exposed to many attorneys, leading him to grow an interest in law. He went on to receive a Bachelor of Science from Purdue University in 1977 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Michigan State University College of Law in 1982. Shortly thereafter, he was admitted to practice in Michigan, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan. Upon spearheading his professional career, Mr. Marshall was an associate at Schmier, Fealk & Ellis PC, Sullivan & Leavitt PC and McKinnon & Associates PC between 1982 and 1991. He was vice president of Great Lakes Bancorp from 1991 to 1995 and shifted to aviation law business manager and corporate counsel of Grand Aire Express from 1995 to 2004. Additionally, he served as senior director of legal services for Flexjet from 2005 to 2013 and assistant secretary of Bombardier Aerospace Corporation from 2005 to 2014.
Since 2014, Mr. Marshall has excelled as the executive vice president and general counsel of AIC Title Insurance Service, in which he ensures clients and leadership are protected as they move through unprecedented Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and industry changes. Accompanying his aviation background, he wrote in 2020, “Whose Plane is it Anyway, FAA Tasked to Address Fraud and Abuse in Aircraft Registration.” Presently, Mr. Marshall maintains affiliation with the General Counsel Forum, Oklahoma Bar Association, Lawyer-Pilot Bar Association, State Bar of Texas, State Bar of Texas Aviation Law Section, State Bar of Michigan and American Bar Association. Likewise, he was a member of the advisory board for the Better Business Bureau in Toledo, Ohio in 1987. He thanks his mentor, Daniel Desjardens, for his immeasurable motivation and support over the years. To attest to his legacy, Mr. Marshall can be found in the 31st edition of Who’s Who In Finance and Industry.
