He went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts in political science from Tulane University in 1981 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from Touro College’s Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 1985. Admitted to practice law in the state of Tennessee in 1986, Mr. Harkavy has become a distinguished member of his field through his dedication to his profession as an attorney with Harkavy Shainberg Kaplan, PLC for 35 years. Specializing in real estate development and business law, he has been involved in transactions worth billions of dollars and has negotiated leases of great size for commercial spaces in shopping centers and offices.
Finding impressive success throughout the course of his career, Mr. Harkavy has been named to Best Lawyers for Real Estate Law and Securitization and Structured Finance Law each year since 2017. Since 2018, he has also been named Securitization and Structured Finance Law Lawyer of the Year.
