Tommy G. Smith, Board Certified Elder Law Attorney at Smith Law PLLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in elder law.
A graduate of North Carolina State University, Mr. Smith initially earned a bachelor’s degree. Soon thereafter, he received a Master of Business Administration from the University of West Florida in 1977. Furthermore, he concluded his academic efforts with a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the School of Law at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Mr. Smith has been admitted to practice law before all Florida state courts as well as the United States District Court for Northern Florida and the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims in Washington, D.C.
Since 2019, Mr. Smith has contributed as an attorney at Smith Law PLLC since 2019. As a board certified elder law attorney with current company, his responsibilities include improving the quality of legal services for senior citizens and individuals with special needs. Prior to this appointment, he excelled as an attorney turned partner at the respected law firm of Shell, Fleming, Davis & Menge. In past, Mr. Smith found success as an engineer, having earned a Corporate Circle of Excellence Award for leading ISO 9001 certification efforts.
Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Smith remains active with the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the Academy of Florida Elder Law Attorneys, and Lawyers with Purpose, the National Care Planning Council and ElderCounsel. A respected voice in the field, he is active as the author of “Snapchats of the New Testament.” In the coming years, Mr. Smith would like to continue practicing law for as long as possible.
