Lisa M. Goldblatt, Counsel at the Law Office of Lisa M. Goldblatt, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in family and divorce law.
Since 2002, Ms. Goldblatt has concentrated her legal practice in family law matters, including child custody and visitation litigation, pre-and-post-nuptial agreements and marital property disputes. She initially obtained a Bachelor of Arts in political science and government from the University at Buffalo, a part of the State University of New York system, before earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2002 at the Columbus School of Law at the Catholic University of America. Ms. Goldblatt considers her entry into law to be a natural progression of her interest in political science, as she recalls feeling as if she had “just woken up” wanting to be an attorney.
Ms. Goldblatt subsequently became of counsel at the Law Office of Lisa M. Goldblatt in 2016 after nearly 15 years of success in private practice, and continues to advise clients through often-contentious divorce disputes. The Law Office of Lisa M. Goldblatt has been recognized among the Top Family Law Firms in Howard County, and she attributes her stellar career to the positive word-of-mouth business garnered from former clients. Since 2018, she has also served as the director of legal affairs and business development for IronShore Contracting. She additionally provides pro bono counsel as a part of the Howard County Circuit Court Family Law Clinic and the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service, and is a member of the Howard County Business Women’s Network and the Women’s Council of the Associated Builders and Contractors. She encourages others interested in family law to be aware that the work can be emotionally grueling, and to be prepared for any question or outcome in the course of a case. In the coming years, Ms. Goldblatt looks forward to the expansion of her firm, as she hopes to retain an associate and a full-time paralegal.
