C. Kent Carlson, Senior Of Counsel at K&L Gates LLP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in legal endeavors. 

Since 2018, Mr. Carlson has excelled as senior of counsel at K&L Gates LLP. Though he is now a well-respected individual in his field, he has demonstrated a lot of hard work to advance to where he is today. In 1964, he embarked on his journey to professional success by earning a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington. Soon thereafter, Mr. Carlson obtained a Juris Doctor from his alma mater before proceeding to enroll at Harvard Law School, from which he graduated with a Master of Laws in 1968. 

Beyond his primary responsibilities, Mr. Carlson has demonstrated success as an assistant professor of law at George Washington University Law School alongside his primary position. Civically, he has served as the chairman for the business law section of the Washington State Bar Association, as well as for the board of directors of the Washington Research Foundation. Further, Mr. Carlson maintains affiliation with numerous professional organizations, including the American Bar Foundation, the American Bar Association and the University of Washington Law School Foundation, among others. 

Reflecting on his career thus far, Mr. Carlson attributes his remarkable success to being a good listener and always thoroughly understanding his client’s needs and goals. In light of his exemplary accomplishments, he was recognized as the 2014 Lawyer of the Year by Seattle Corporate Law, which followed his earlier honor of being selected to the Washington Super Lawyers List. Likewise, he is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation, and he is honored in the Martindale-Hubbell AV Preeminent Rating Judicial Edition. Looking toward the future, Mr. Carlson hopes to enter a well-deserved retirement in the coming years.
