Robert Brueckner, Attorney at Copeland & Brown, P.C., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in general practice law.
Prior to beginning his career in law, Mr. Brueckner enjoyed a career in education, earning a Bachelor of Science in secondary social studies education from the University of Missouri at Columbia. He spent the 2010-2011 academic year as a high school social studies teacher for the Joplin R-VIII School District while exploring his interest in the law by working concurrently as a paralegal for the Parmele Law Firm, PC. Following the advice of his family lawyer, Mr. Brueckner returned to school, enrolling in the University of Oklahoma City School of Law, where he quickly developed a reputation as an emerging legal talent to watch.
A Merit Scholar and Dean’s List student each year, Mr. Brueckner was presented with CALI Awards in 2016 and 2017, marking him among the top-performing students in his cohort. Through 2016, he was an academic fellow of the Oklahoma City University School of Law and an intern for Judge Barbara Swinton of the Oklahoma County District Court. He was awarded his Juris Doctor in 2017, and began work in his current role as an associate of Copeland & Brown, P.C. Mr. Brueckner brings an ethos of continuing education into his legal practice, striving to remain curious and flexible, and to empower clients to understand and actively participate in their cases. He provides pro bono counsel as a member of the Joplin Community Clinic, and is active in crafting a brighter future for Joplin as a member of the board of the Downtown Joplin Alliance and Commissioner of the Joplin Historic Preservation Commission. Mr. Brueckner is the President-Elect of the Jasper County Bar Association, and he remains a volunteer with Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Missouri, Rotary International, and the alumni arm of Kappa Sigma Fraternity.
