Philip F. Boelter, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Kraus-Anderson Companies, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in business law.
During his undergraduate years, Mr. Boelter spent time interviewing local executives and discovered that a large number of them held law degrees. He decided from this experience that he wished to attend law school with the idea of going into the business world. After he obtained a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Iowa State University in 1965, he went on to receive a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Iowa in 1968. Upon his admittance to practice law in the states of Minnesota and Iowa, Mr. Boelter served as a partner at Dorsey & Whitney in Minneapolis from 1968 to 2002. Notably, since 2002, he has been the executive vice president and chief operating officer of Kraus-Anderson Companies, Inc. in Minneapolis.
Finding great success throughout the course of his career, Mr. Boelter has been recognized numerous times as one of the Best Lawyers in America and as a Super Lawyer in Minnesota. Notably, he was the recipient of the Minnesota Icon Award in 2019. In addition to primary work, Mr. Boelter has been active in his community as a trustee of Gustavus Adolphus College for nine years, a board member of Junior Achievement of the Upper Midwest in the early 2000s, and a member of the Minneapolis Athletic Club, having held multiple executive roles between 1992 and 1995. Looking back, he attributes much of his success to the mentors who taught him how to practice law, client development, and community involvement. To attest to his legacy, Mr. Boelter can also be found in various editions of Who’s Who in Finance and Business, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, and Who’s Who in the Midwest. In his spare time, he enjoys landscape gardening, alpine skiing, golf, and reading.
