Prior to beginning her work with Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uria, Ms. Ruiz del Campo studied at the Universidad de Lima, where she completed a Bachelor of Laws in 2015. Law had been a perfect fit for her: with effortless communication skills and a strong analytical bent, Ms. Ruiz del Campo recalls her time in school as a process of “falling in love” with her chosen career. After choosing to specialize in financial law, she pursued additional professional credentials, passing the Test of English Legal Skills, Moody’s Project Finance Masterclass, and earning a Certified Agile Leadership certificate.
She joined Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uria in 2015 as a legal assistant and became an associate of the Banking, Financial, and Capital Market team the following year. She was named a Senior Associate of the team in early 2020 and continues to focus her practice on both Peruvian and international corporate and project finance structures, infrastructure financing, mergers, and acquisitions. Ms. Ruiz del Campo is widely recognized as an insightful legal strategist with a thorough understanding of the application of local and regional financial statutes, and her work on the Lima Metro Line 1 was named the 2018 GFC Media Group Structured Finance Deal of the Year.
Ms. Ruiz del Campo is active in the International Association of Young Lawyers and the Bar Association of Lima, volunteers with the Asociación de Granito de Arena Peru, and provides pro bono services through her firm. She is a proud member of Peru’s LGBTQ community and hopes that her stellar record of practice and legal advocacy will be a model of success for other young lesbians and female legal professionals. Passionate about accessibility and equity in business ownership, Ms. Ruiz del Campo looks forward to using her practice as a platform to educate and support small businesses and low-income clients in the coming years.
