John A. Rottier, Chief Executive Officer at Law Office of John Rottier, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in immigration law.
Mr. Rottier earned a Bachelor of Arts in international studies and Spanish, with minors in German and Mandarin Chinese, from Butler University in 2006, where he notably received the International Studies Department Award. Unsure of which path to pursue following his graduation, it was when he was selected for an immigration clinic at the law school that he fell in love with the industry. In 2009, Mr. Rottier achieved a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Indiana University School of Law and was admitted to the Indiana State Bar for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. In 2011, he also became certified to practice in Illinois and before the Central District of Illinois.
Since 2018, Mr. Rottier has excelled as the chief executive officer to the Law Office of John Rottier in Chicago, where he specializes in immigration law matters, including citizenship and residency cases, B1/B2 tourist visas, status adjustments, and family petitions. Before establishing his firm, he served as the director of the immigration department for KSS Legal from 2017 to 2018 and gained initial professional experience as a staff attorney for the Katz Law Office from 2010 to 2017. To remain aware of advancements in his field, Mr. Rottier holds membership with the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the Illinois Bar Association. He attributes his success to his hard work, honesty, and ability to always put his best foot forward for his clients. Looking ahead in his career, he would like to remain at his office but expand in size and services offered.
Devoted to his civic responsibilities, Mr. Rottier sits on the board of the directors for Northern Illinois Justice for Our Neighbors, a nonprofit faith-driven ministry of the United Methodist Church. In addition to being on the board of directors, he is also the volunteer coordinator for Justice For Our Neighbor’s Chicago legal clinic. He also volunteers with World Relief’s Good Neighbor Program, which helps support a new refugee family throughout their resettlement journey in the United States. Mr. Rottier is also involved in different immigration ministries at Urban Village Church, where he is an active member and social coordinator. In his free time, he enjoys visiting museums, hiking, wine tasting, and eating at different ethnic restaurants.
