Inspired to serve as a voice for others since her childhood, Ms. Warren went on to achieve a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of San Diego in 2000 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge Law School in 2005. Upon her admittance to the State Bar of California in 2006, she now also holds certifications as a divorce financial analyst and as a certified legal specialist. Ms. Warren commenced her career as a paralegal with Lugar & Pohl in 2000 and, between 2003 and 2006, she served as a law clerk for Timothy M. Cary & Associates and as a legal intern for the UC Davis Medical Center. She rejoined Lugar & Pohl in 2006 as an associate attorney for three years and was a partner at Lewis, Warren & Setzer, LLP from 2009 to 2016. Since 2016, Ms. Warren has notably served as an attorney at the Law Offices of Colleen A. Warren, APC where she specializes in high-conflict dissolution, child custody, paternity, minor’s counsel, and complex financial issues.
Finding great success throughout the course of her career, Ms. Warren has been AV Preeminent Rated by Martindale-Hubbell since 2012 and listed to Super Lawyers in 2020. Likewise, she was listed in Super Lawyers Rising Stars in 2015 and named a Top Lawyer in San Diego for Family Law by San Diego Magazine consecutively from 2013 to 2017. In addition to these accolades, she was a finalist for Top Young Attorneys in 2010 and 2011 and a nominee for Top Family Law Attorneys in 2012, 2014 and 2015 by the Daily Transcript. Presently, Ms. Warren holds membership with the San Diego Family Law Bar Association, the San Diego County Bar Association, the Lawyer’s Club of San Diego, the California Women Lawyers Association, and Project SARAH’s Legal Advisory Board. She is also a board member of Cathy’s Legacy and was formerly involved with the Women’s Financial Academy and Jewish Family Services of San Diego. Looking toward the future, Ms. Warren plans to expand her practice into ADR due to the way the Covid-19 pandemic has altered the professional world and her ways of practice.
