Marty Gelfand, Attorney at Gelfand Law LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in criminal and family law.
A graduate of St. John’s College, Mr. Gelfand earned a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts before earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1997. That same year, he became certified to practice law in the state of Ohio, effectively providing him with the platform to help others that he had desired for many years. In 1997, Mr. Gelfand began his career in law as a member of the senior counsel at the United States House of Representatives for the Office of Dennis Kucinich. He remained there until 2013, going on to become the councilman-at-large for the South Euclid City Council. In 2013, Mr. Gelfand took on the title of attorney at law for Gelfand Law, LLC where he specializes in government affairs, criminal law, family law and personal injury. Today, he continues to notably excel in both of these positions.
Looking toward the future, Mr. Gelfand hopes to one day become a judge, serving in one of the highest judicial seats. He also hopes to do the best he can with the time he has been given to live his life and help as many people as he can. In light of his myriad accomplishments, Mr. Gelfand earned the Distinguished Resent Alumnus Award for the Case Western Reserve School of Law. Further, he was listed as a Super Lawyer by the Cleveland Jewish News in 2019 and also earned the title of Advocate of the Year from the Housing Coalition. In his spare time, Mr. Gelfand enjoys traveling, reading, hiking and spending time with his family. In addition to his legal career, Mr. Gelfand served for six years in the U.S. Navy Submarine Force during the Cold War.
