Dana Winkler, a renowned Lawyer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for his dedication, achievements, and leadership.
With nearly six decades of experience to his credit, Mr. Winkler has most recently excelled as an attorney with the Law Office of Dana J. Winkler, which focuses on juvenile law. In the past, he flourished as the assistant city attorney for the city of Wichita, and five years as a partner at Davis, Bruce, Davis, and Winkler in Wichita after college. At the start of his career, Mr. Winkler was affiliated with Wichita Federal Credit Union for over 30 years as the director, president, secretary-treasurer, vice president, and member of the board of directors. In recognition of his service to the credit union and the scholarship fund was named The Dana Winkler Scholarship Fund.
Mr. Winkler became involved in his profession because he used to work as a police reporter for a local Wichita newspaper which allowed him to cover trials in the district court. A graduate of Wichita State University, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in 1967. Subsequently, he received a Doctor of Jurisprudence at Washburn University School of Law in 1971. A veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Winkler served in the capacity of a Colonel and first Lieutenant from 1967 until his honorable discharge in 1997.
In an effort to remain aware of changes in the field of juvenile law, maintains affiliation with the Kansas Bar Association and the Wichita Bar Association. An exceptional Marquis listee, he has been featured in 35 editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in American Politics, Who’s Who in the Midwest, and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
