Sol P. Ajalat, Esq., Partner at Ajalat & Ajalat LLP, consisting of himself and his three sons, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for his dedication, leadership and achievements in the practice of general civil law and civil litigation, as well as his performance in civic and related activities.
Throughout a legal career spanning more than a half-century and continuing thereafter, he has handled a myriad of general civil and civil litigation matters in virtually all areas of law. Mr. Ajalat served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957, stationed at the Fort Sam Houston Medical Center in Texas, as an instructor to all U.S. Army Medics, in emergency medical care. He received an honorable discharge from the army in 1957.
Mr. Ajalat received a B.S. degree in 1958 from the UCLA School of Public Health Administration, and also his Juris Doctorate of Law in 1962 from UCLA School of Law. His legal career commenced from 1962 through early 1964 as a legal assistant to the highly respected Chief Judge, Peirson Hall, of the Central Federal District Court in Los Angeles, California. After practicing from 1964 to 1965 with a law firm in Pasadena, California, in the area of general civil and civil litigation, Mr. Ajalat commenced his private legal practice in 1965. Since 1990, after graduating from law schools, each of his three sons joined his law firm.
Mr. Ajalat and the law firm of Ajalat & Ajalat, LLP provide comprehensive and multidisciplinary legal services involving personal transactions and civil litigation services. These services may be related to the areas of corporate and other business entity formations and operations, commercial and business endeavors, real estate activities and entertainment, as well as personal matters involving wills, trusts, estate planning, conservatorship and probate or the recovery of personal damages due to bodily injury, product liability, medical or legal malpractice, wrongful termination, defamation and discrimination. Mr. Ajalat is experienced in the handling of customary and complex transactional and litigation matters. He is currently engaged as the primary attorney with highly experienced co-counsel participants in vaccine injury civil litigation having national and international consequences.
Mr. Ajalat has also been actively involved with the California State and Los Angeles County related bar associations. He has acted as a referee of the California State Bar in the handling of disciplinary matters from 1984 to 1994; delegate to the California Conference of the Bar Delegates from 1985 to 2003; member of the Senior Lawyers Committee from 2002 to 2008 as well as its president from 2007 to 2008. As to the Los Angeles County Bar Association, Mr. Ajalat has been a trustee from 1987 to 1988; chair of the Municipal Court Committee from 1985 to 1986; member of the Superior Court Bench and Bar Committee from 1991 to 1994; member of the Media Bench and Bar Committee from 1987 to 1994. Also, he was a board member from 1983 to 2014 and president from 1985 to 1986 of the Lawyers Club of Los Angeles County.
Mr. Ajalat has been involved as a Member, Chairman and President of numerous civic, public and nonprofit entities.
