Isaac Norris Kantor, JD, Of Counsel at Katz Kanton Stonestreet & Buckner, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Executives for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the legal industry.
During Mr. Kantor’s time at the Virginia Military Institute, he decided that he wanted to become a lawyer. After earning a Bachelor of Arts, he enrolled at West Virginia University and acquired a Doctor of Jurisprudence. In the following years, he notably served with the U.S. Air Force Reserves and went on to work as a partner at Katz Katz & Kantor in 1958 upon his return from the military. He remained there until 1970, going on to accept a position at Katz Kantor Katz Perkins & Cameron in Bluefield, West Virginia. He later took on a position as of counsel at Katz Kantor & Perkins, though he soon relocated to Katz Kantor Stonestreet & Buckner in 2013. He remains there today, continuing to demonstrate his expertise in personal injury, domestic relations, family law, criminal law and administrative law.
Outside of his professional ventures, Mr. Kantor participates in a myriad of civic organizations. Since 2005, he has been a member of the Mercer County Equine Committee and the Bluefield Area Development Corp. He additionally participates as the secretary for the board research and development corporation of Bluefield State College. In the past, he has excelled as the president of New River Parkway Authority and the Greater Bluefield Jaycees. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, reading and travel.
An active participant in his professional community, Mr. Kantor maintains affiliations with numerous organizations. These include, but are not limited to, the American Bar Association, West Virginia Association for Justice, Rotary International and American Legion. He has additionally been abundantly awarded throughout his career, most recently being awarded the National Divisional Award from the American Cancer Society. He has previously been honored as a Paul Harris Fellow through Rotary International and designated as the Citizen of the Year by the Bluefield Jaycees. As a further testament to his success, he is featured in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in the World.
