Supported by more than 55 years of experience in law, Mr. Jacobs is a current partner of Esdaile, Barrett, Jacobs & Mone, a role he assumed in 1973. Operating out of their Boston office, Mr. Jacobs focuses his attention on matrimonial law, business law and entertainment law, drawing upon experience as a special master, mediator and arbitrator. Impressively, Mr. Jacobs has argued and tried cases in every Massachusetts’ department of the Trial Court and in both levels of their Appellate Court system. Licensed to practice law by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts since 1964, he holds a Bachelor of Arts in politics, cum laude with honors, from Brandeis University and a Bachelor of Laws, with honors, from the Boston College School of Law.
Previously affiliated as a law clerk with the Honorable G. Joseph Tauro of the Superior Court of Massachusetts, Mr. Jacobs also practiced at Jacobs, Jacobs & Jacobs from 1965 to 1973. Likewise, he is a lecturer at Suffolk University, the New England School of Law and Boston College, and has also lectured at minimum continuing education and continuing education groups.
Mr. Jacobs is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, and he also serves as legal counsel to its Massachusetts chapter. Holding an AV Preeminent Rating by Martindale-Hubbell, he has been voted in Super Lawyers as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in New England, as well as among the Top 10 Lawyers in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. He received the National Academy of Family Law Attorneys’ Top 10 Attorney Award, and in 2005, was honored as the Number One Lawyer in the Commonwealth.
