Gregory E. Meter, JD, Partner at Braun Kendrick Finkbeiner PLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in litigation.

For more than 30 years, since 1986, Mr. Meter has excelled in his role as a partner of Braun Kendrick Finkbeiner PLC in Michigan. Previously, from 2003 to 2012, he served as chairman of the litigation department. Since joining the firm, Mr. Meter has practiced throughout the state on arson and fraud-related issues in the first party property context, as well as defense of third party actions in automobile, property and liability areas. Notably, he was the recipient of the Andy Zulli Award, and has been named to Super Lawyers in 2006 and from 2008 to 2013, as well as to Leading Lawyers from 2018 to 2020. Holding membership with the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan and Saginaw County Bar Association, Mr. Meter is also director of the Saginaw County Bar Association.

Mr. Meter received a BA in 1974 and a MS in educational administration in 1975, both from the University of Dayton. In 1979, he achieved a JD from the Detroit College of Law, now known as the Michigan State University College of Law. He commenced his career as an assistant prosecutor for Saginaw County, which he did from 1979 to 1981, and went on to serve as an instructor of the paralegal program teaching civil procedure at Delta Community College. To add to his teaching repertoire, Mr. Meter has also taught advanced fire investigators through the Michigan Department of State Police. Mr. Meter’s advice he can offer to the next generation of aspiring lawyers is to keep your head down and work hard, “Keep dreaming, be humble and grateful.”
