Edward Moor has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in product liability, personal injury, civil rights, class action, criminal defense, business fraud, and complex litigation suits.
In 1984, Mr. Moor protested civil disobedience election facility over the president’s election. He was prosecuted and won the case. He decided he liked arguing to a jury and he was good at it and made the decision d to go to law school. He had previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in history and a Master of Arts in sociology from Indiana University and continued at the institution to receive a JD, cum laude, in 1990. That same year, he joined the firm Williams & Montgomery Ltd and remained there until 1999. From 1999 to 2001, he provided his legal services at Jack Samuel Ring & Associates. He returned to his previous firm, now under the name Williams Montgomery & John Ltd as a partner from 2001 to 2013. Upon departing this firm, he opened the doors to his private practice, the Moor Law Office, P.C., where he has continued helping his clients navigate legal issues.
Prior to becoming a lawyer, Mr. Moor garnered a wide array of experience as a mechanic, working for Autosport and Mico Motors. Upon earning JD, he gained admission to practice in a number of areas. He is admitted to practice in Illinois and Indiana, before the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals, and before the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Illinois, the Central District of Illinois, the Southern District of Illinois, the Northern District of Indiana, the Southern District of Indiana, and the U.S. District Court of Colorado.
In recognition of his work, he has an AV-Preeminent, Peer-reviewed Rating from Martindale Hubbell and has been included in the Illinois National Law Journal 2013’s Top Lawyers list. Mr. Moor has been considered a “Super Lawyer” and since 2012, a Leading Lawyer. He maintains professional affiliation with the Illinois State Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Chicago Bar Association, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
