Robert Zeigler, Partner at Zeigler, Cohen and Koch, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in medical malpractice.
Stemming from his childhood interests in history and the legal process, Mr. Zeigler knew becoming a lawyer was in his future. Equipped with determination and passion, he pursued the field academically, first earning a Bachelor of Arts from Illinois College in 1970 before receiving a Master of Arts and JD from the University of Illinois in 1971 and 1980, respectively. In addition to being admitted to the state bar of Indiana in 1980, he has been admitted to practice with the U.S. Direct Court Southern District of Indiana, the Seventh Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. Supreme Court. Mr. Zeigler has leveraged his skills and experience as a senior partner at his firm since 1994. Prior to this, he practiced an associate LaCava & Associates, Indianapolis, Cremer & Hobbs, Indianapolis, and Ice Miller Donadio & Ryan.
Mr. Zeigler attributes his success to working with good partners and good clients. His success has been recognized with such accolades as receiving Indiana’s Defense Lawyer of the Year award. In his line of work, he feels comfortable working with hospitals and doctors and healthcare professionals because he takes the time to learn their languages and practice. With this ability, he is able to translate to juries and legal professionals about his clients and their struggles. In addition to his work, Mr. Zeigler remains connected to the legal profession with membership to the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indiana Stamp Club, the Indianapolis Law Club, and Phi Beta Kappa. Furthermore, he has served as the president of the American Philatelic Society.
