Jonathan Kepko, Partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in construction and design law, products liability law and intellectual property law.
Mr. Kepko prepared for his career at the University of Miami College of Engineering, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 2001, and continued his academic efforts at the University of Miami School of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctor in 2008. He has been admitted to practice in the states of California, Florida, and Texas, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, the U.S. District Courts for the Middle, Southern and Northern Districts of Florida, as well as the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Kepko served in the United States Air Force, and since 2009, he has excelled as a partner at Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP. He is a registered patent attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and holds an Engineer-in-Training Certification in the State of Virginia, which he earned in 2002.
Mr. Kepko attributes his success to excellent mentorship from both Michael Cashton and Glen Friedman and drew inspiration from his father, who was an accomplished lawyer. He has found success in construction law as a member of the Construction Practice for the Tampa office of Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP, where he focuses on subcontractors and general contractors in construction litigation and products liability matters. Mr. Kepko was named as a Super Lawyers Rising Star from 2017 to 2019 and advises aspiring legal professionals to know that the law is an extremely hard career which requires long hours at the start, but is rewarding. He thoroughly enjoys what he does, and plans to continue his current work in the coming years.
