Gregory Meter, Partner and Chairman of the Litigation Department at Braun Kendrick, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the legal profession.
Mr. Meter attended the University of Dayton and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in 1974 as well as a Master of Science in educational administration in 1975. He continued his academic efforts at the Detroit College of Law, now the Michigan State University College of Law, where he earned a JD in 1979. He has been admitted to practice by the State Bar of Michigan and the Federal Bar Association, and has additionally received a teaching certificate. Mr. Meter started his career as an assistant prosecutor for Saginaw County, and subsequently accepted a position as a partner at Braun Kendrick, where he has remained since 1986. During his tenure with the firm, he additionally served as the chairman of the litigation department from 2003 to 2012.
Alongside his primary professional pursuits, Mr. Meter authored a chapter in “ICLE 2002 Michigan Insurance Law & Practice Personal Liability Insurance,” and has served as a speaker and presenter at the Property Loss Research Bureau National Conference. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the Saginaw County Bar Association, and has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades. He was named a Leading Lawyer by Leading Lawyers in 2020, 2019 and 2018, and was named a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers numerous times. He is also the recipient of the Andy Zulli Award. Throughout his career, he credits his older brother Pat, now a circuit judge on the Michigan Court of Appeals, as a mentor. He also cites the late Tom James, an attorney who was one of the main reasons Mr. Meter joined Braun Kendrick.
