Carl E. Hostler, Attorney at Prim Law Firm, PLLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements and leadership in many areas of law.
Mr. Hostler believes that everyone is entitled to a fair day in court, which is what inspired him to pursue law. As an undergraduate, he attended the University of Maryland and earned a Bachelor of Arts in history. Five years later, he graduated from the West Virginia University College of Law with a JD. Soon thereafter, Mr. Hostler began working professionally.
Mr. Hostler began his career as a paralegal for Hostler and Segal LC in 1985. In 1989, after exhibiting his aptitude for legal matters, he was given the title of attorney. He subsequently relocated to Hostler and Donnelly, PLLC, where he worked for six years as a managing partner. From 2005 until 2007, Mr. Hostler was self-employed and worked primarily on criminal and juvenile cases in the state courts of North Carolina. However, in 2007, he became an associate at Prim Law Firm, PLLC. He has remained there since, continuing to demonstrate excellence with every one of his clients.
Outside of his primary roles, Mr. Hostler delights in giving back to his community. He has volunteered for organizations such as Big Brothers Big Sisters, the Guardian Ad Litem Program and Habitat for Humanity. Additionally, he has provided a multitude of pro-bono work for legal aid to the people of West Virginia. To keep up with current industry trends, Mr. Hostler holds membership to the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the West Virginia Association for Justice. He is looking forward to his future, as he hopes to pursue new avenues in the law and spend more time with his grandchildren.
