Company: The Lentz Law Firm, PC
Location: Los Angeles, California, United States
Jacek W. Lentz, Esq., Owner of the Lentz Law Firm, PC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements and leadership in defense law.
With nearly 20 years of professional experience, Mr. Lentz has been the owner of the Lentz Law Firm, PC, since 2008. Prior to establishing this firm, he was a partner with Shevin and Lentz from 2005 to 2007. From 2003 to 2004, he served as an associate with Steefel Levitt and Weiss. Earlier in his career, Mr. Lentz was an associate with Nixon Peabody (aka Lillick and Charles) from 2000 to 2003.
Mr. Lentz first pursued an education at the University of California, completing coursework in English literature in 1987. He continued his studies at the school, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in literature, with honors, in 1990, and he earned a JD with the Hastings College of Law in 2000. The same year, Mr. Lentz completed coursework on the philosophy of law and European Union law at Oxford University and Trinity University.
Mr. Lentz was inspired to pursue a career in the field for the challenge of working in the process. He began in civil work and found that he didn’t enjoy it, and he also found disdain for the politics and business practices of large law firms. He was turned onto defense by clients in the then-fledgling medical marijuana industry in California and he also taught in the specialty. Mr. Lentz also discovered a need to help those victimized by civil asset forfeiture abuse and he became an expert in it, as well.
