D. Benham Kirk, Partner of Commercial Transactions in Real Estate of the Doerner, Saunders, Daniel & Anderson, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements and leadership in community relations.
With more than five years of professional experience, Mr. Kirk has also been president of the Oklahoma City Ballet, having been president-elect since 2017, governance committee chair from 2016 to 2017, a member of the executive committee from 2016 to 2017 and a member of the board of trustees since 2013. In addition to his primary roles, he has held a number of positions with the Oklahoma Bar Association, including past chair of bankruptcy and reorganization, past board member of estate planning and probate, and a member of the civil procedure committee and the general practice, business, corporate law and banking law sections. Earlier in his career, Mr. Kirk was a group leader with the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Inn of the Court.
Mr. Kirk first pursued an education at Trinity University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1979. He continued his studies at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, earning a JD in 1982. He has been admitted to practice in the State of Oklahoma, as well as before the U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Florida, the Western District of Michigan and the Northern, Western and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma, the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Sixth and 10th Circuits, and the Supreme Court of the United States.
Throughout his career, Mr. Kirk has been recognized for his contributions. Named a Best Lawyer for Bankruptcy and Creditor/Debtor Rights and Insolvency and Reorganization Law by Real Estate Law-Best Lawyers in America and in Oklahoma City Real Estate Law. He has also been named among the Most Powerful Oklahomans by the Ruth Bader Ginsburg Inn of the Court, who also named him Master of the Year.
