With more than five decades of expertise in criminal law, civil law, contract law and medical liability, Mr. Williams has excelled as a lawyer with EBB H. WILLIAMS, III, P.C., since 1973. Prior to this, he found success as a partner of the law firm of BROADDUS, EPPERLY, BROADDUS and WILLIAMS. While working as an attorney, he developed strong advocacy for the rights of his many clients, and found the law to be a natural way forward for this purpose. A graduate of the University of Richmond, he graduated in 1961 with a Bachelor of Arts, with Honors, and earned a JD, with Honors in 1964. Mr. Williams was admitted to practice law in the State of Virginia during that same year.
In addition to his primary endeavors, Mr. Williams was an Associate Professor of Law at Patrick Henry College, a branch of the University of Virginia, and Patrick Henry Community College, from 1964 to 1973, and sat as a Substitute Judge in the General District and Juvenile and Domestic Relations Courts for the City of Martinsville and Henry and Patrick Counties from 1969 to 1981. Civically, he contributed as a former Trustee of Averett University and as a Board Member of the Board of Associates of the University of Richmond as well as serving in many other civic endeavors.
For his accomplishments in the field of law, Mr. Williams was a recipient of the prestigious 2000 Tradition of Excellence Award from the Virginia State Bar, as well as being the recipient of a Joint Resolution commending his service to the people of Virginia from the Virginia General Assembly in 2011. He is proud to have used his career to positively impact his clients’ lives. Mr. Williams is a member of the Virginia State Bar Association, as well as being listed in various national publications for his excellence in the practice of law. An exceptional Marquis listee, he has been featured in the 13th edition of Who’s Who in American Lawyers. Outside of work, he enjoys University of Richmond football and basketball, as well as being a collector of art and sculpture. He also enjoys the hobby of collecting and operating electric trains in his spare time.
