Sabrina P. R. Glimcher, Chief Commercial Counsel at Global Jet Capital, Inc., has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in aircraft finance law.
Since 2019, Ms. Glimcher has found success as the chief commercial counsel for Global Jet Capital, Inc. In addition to this exemplary promotion, she has excelled as senior counsel for the aforementioned company since 2016. During this time, she was briefly active as the associate general counsel for Global Jet Capital in 2019. Prior to these appointments, she worked as a staff attorney for Waypoint Leasing Limited from 2014 to 2015. Ms. Glimcher began her career as an associate attorney for Jones Day between 2010 and 2014.
Before embarking upon her professional path, Ms. Glimcher pursued an education at The Ohio State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 2007. Subsequently, she graduated from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2010 with a Doctor of Jurisprudence. Having always harbored an interest in becoming a lawyer, she discovered aircraft finance law after initially seeking a career in real estate finance. Moreover, Ms. Glimcher is a member of Kappa Delta as well as the aircraft financing subcommittee for the American Bar Association.
Following the economic crisis of 2008, Ms. Glimcher encountered her mentor, Elizabeth Evans, over the course of her summer internship in 2009 and realized her passion for her chosen subspecialty when recruited for an aircraft lease project. Hailing from a noteworthy family of frequent travelers, she fondly recalls becoming interested in aircraft at the age of nine during a trip to Tel Aviv, during which time she traveled on a 747800. The aircraft was the third largest aircraft ever produced and Ms. Glimcher was amazed by how something so big could fly the way that it did. It motivated her to read into flights, aerodynamics and physics.
A former contributing author for the Case Western Reserve Law Review, Ms. Glimcher attributes her success to taking ownership of her work, whether it be excellent, below expectations or otherwise, as she is confident that she will never make the same mistake twice. Admitted to practice by the New York State Bar Association and the Connecticut Bar Association, she has become renowned for her diverse skill set, which includes handling commercial financing and representing corporate borrowers in lending transactions across the globe, throughout her career. Looking toward the future, Ms. Glimcher hopes to become the general counsel for an aviation company while dedicating her free time to her wonderful family.
