With nearly 20 years of professional experience, Ms. Mayer has excelled as a partner at Cohen, Clair, Lans, Greifer, Thorpe, and Rottenstreich, LI, since 2018. Prior to obtaining her current position, she worked as a senior counsel with the firm from 2004 to 2018. Earlier in her career, she was active as an associate in commercial litigation with Kirkland and Ellis, LLP, from 2000 to 2004. In addition to her primary roles, Ms. Mayer has served as a legal consultant for the Showtime series, “The Affair,” and has offered pro bono services in her community.
Ms. Mayer was inspired to pursue a career in the field from an early age, having wanted to influence public policy and help speed up the process of creating positive change. She initially pursued an education with Brown University, where she obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1995. She concluded her studies with the Northwestern University School of Law, earning a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2000. Ms. Mayer is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the Family Law and Women in Law Sections of the New York State Bar Association.
