With more than 40 years of professional experience, Mr. Jacobson has been in private practice since 2010. Prior to establishing his own firm, he was of counsel with Greenberg Traurig from 2001 to 2010, chief financial officer with Turbo Chef Techs, Inc., in 2001, and vice president and general counsel with Prodigy Communications Corporation from 1995 to 2000. He was a partner with Phillips Nizer Benjamin Krim and Ballon from 1991 to 1995 and with Carro, Spanbock, Kaster, and Cuiffo from 1990 to 1991, where he was previously special counsel since 1989. From 1986 to 1988, he was counsel with Berger and Steingut and, from 1980 to 1986, he was a partner with Jacobson and Bailin. Mr. Jacobson held a sole practice in 1980 and, earlier in his career, he was an associate with Proskauer, Rose, Goetz, and Mendelsohn from 1979 to 1980 and with Paskus, Gordon, and Heinman from 1977 to 1979.
Mr. Jacobson first pursued an education with the State University of New York, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in 1974. He continued his studies with the University of San Diego, completing postgraduate coursework from 1974 to 1975. He then joined New York University, earning a JD in 1977. Mr. Jacobson has been admitted to practice in the States of New York, California and Florida, as well as before the Supreme Court of the United States, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.
