John Hoard, Partner at Rubin & Levin PC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in commercial litigation.
Mr. Hoard was always very impressed by the public persona of lawyers in America. Upon graduating high school, he attended Northwestern University and earned a Bachelor of Science in 1977. Three years later, he secured a JD from The Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. In 1988, Mr. Hoard became a certified public accountant in the State of Indiana and briefly assumed employment with Ernst & Young. Subsequently, he was admitted to practice law in Indiana, as well as the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, and the United States Tax Court. He later joined the firm Baker & Daniels as an attorney from 1989 to 1992.
Moreover, Mr. Hoard began his tenure with Rubin & Levin, P.C. as an attorney in 1992. Today, he serves as a partner of the firm, where his area of expertise includes bankruptcy and commercial litigation. He has also participated in the successful planning and reorganization of multiple bankruptcy estates and prosecuted many avoidance actions including Ponzi schemes against frauds. As a testament to his career thus far, he has been the recipient of numerous honors and accolades including the Distinguished Barrister Award from the Indianapolis Business Journal and an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. In the coming years, Mr. Hoard hopes to continue his pursuit in pro bono work and would like to eventually consider retiring from the firm.
