With decades of professional experience, Mr. Gay has enjoyed a long and successful career as an esteemed professional in his field. For more than 20 years, he excelled with the Attorney’s Title Insurance Fund, where he held numerous positions over the course of his connection. His experience with this esteemed organization included working as the senior vice president, a corporate secretary and general counsel between 1991 and 2009. Subsequently, Mr. Gay held the posts of the senior vice president, the chief legal officer, the corporate secretary and special counsel of Attorney’s Title Fund Services LLC from 2009 until his retirement in 2012.
Prior to the start of his career, Mr. Gay pursued his higher education at the University of Florida, where he graduated with a JD in 1965. Upon the completion of his undergraduate studies, he joined the United States Navy as an officer. Prior to the start of his military service, Mr. Gay had long been interested in boats and sailing during high school, and after his honorable discharge from the Navy, he learned that there weren’t many available boundaries between bodies of water and private uplands.
Interested by this discovery, Mr. Gay began to write his thesis on the topic, but his adviser disagreed with the idea. He told him that he should select something different since he had no knowledge of the topic. Mr. Gay remained confident in his original decision, ultimately leading to his interest in maritime law, a fascination that endured throughout his career. In addition to his primary pursuits, he is a member of the National Men’s Honorary Leadership Society. Throughout his accomplished professional journey, Mr. Gay attributes his success to hard work.
