Frederick Braid, Partner at Holland & Knight LLP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in labor and employment law.

A graduate of St. Johns University, Mr. Braid earned a Bachelor of Science in economics in 1968 and a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1971. Subsequently, he assumed employment with Rains & Pogrebin in Mineola and New York City as an associate between 1971 and 1977. During this time, he was admitted to practice law in the State of New York, the United States District Court, the United States Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court, and served in the Army Reserve. In 1978, Mr. Braid made partner with the firm, while serving as a member of the board of directors until his departure in 1999. He also received a Master of Laws from New York University in 1979.

Currently, he excels as a partner with Holland and Knight, a position he has held since 2000. With this firm, Mr. Braid has represented numerous clients in labor relations and employment law, counseling and litigation, collective bargaining, and contract administration. In addition to his primary endeavors, he has published scholarly articles in journals for labor lawyers and is the original author on collective bargaining in the treatise, National Labor Relations Act: Law and Practice. He is also a contributing author to the American Bar Association’s treatise, Occupational Safety and Health Law. Utilizing his professional knowledge and experience, Mr. Braid occasionally speaks at related conferences. As a testament to his success, he has been the recipient of numerous honors and has been featured in multiple editions of Marquis Who’s Who, including Who’s Who in Finance and Industry, Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in the East, Who’s Who in the World, and Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America.
