In preparation for his career, Mr. Fullerton attended Yale University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 1972. He concluded his higher education at the University of Virginia School of Law, earning a JD in 1975, and was licensed to practice by the State Bar of Georgia, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Fullerton was admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia in 1978, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit in 1980, as well as the United States Tax Court and the United States Supreme Court. Upon his graduation from the University of Virginia, he garnered experience as a law clerk in the Supreme Court of Georgia and subsequently served as an associate at Alston, Miller & Gaines until 1978.

Upon his departure from the aforementioned firm, Mr. Fullerton transitioned to Watson Spence LLP in Albany, Georgia, rising from the post of an associate to his position as a partner, where he continues to serve currently. As a respected member of the legal profession, he has been recognized with myriad awards and accolades, including being listed in the Best Lawyers in America and the Georgia Super Lawyers. In addition, Mr. Fullerton has been recognized for his high standard of legal excellence and integrity with an esteemed AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. As an active member of his community, he was the past president of the Albany Museum of Art, the state vice chairman of the Georgia Council for the Arts and the past senior warden of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He is a past member of the State Bar of Georgia Board of Governors and served as the chair of the State Bar Examiners.
