Title: Managing Attorney
Company: The Elizondo Law Firm
Location: Houston, Texas, United States
Roy Elizondo has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in trial and appellate law.
Mr. Elizondo became involved in his profession during high school when he participated with the debate team and became captain. He enjoyed this role and was later influenced by John O’Quinn, from whom he received a clerkship, which introduced him to civil trial law. Mr. Elizondo earned a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University in 1998 and later received a JD in trial advocacy law from the South Texas College of Law in 2002. He was admitted to practice in the state of Texas in 2002 and in the Southern District of the United States in 2003. He has served as the managing partner of his eponymously named firm since 2007, and since 2016, he has been a partner of Green & Barton. In recognition of his work, he has been voted into Texas Monthly’s Super Lawyers by his peers and been presented with a Texas Rising Star Award.
Mr. Elizondo attributes his success to his mindset to “out-work” the other side, solve problems creatively, and think outside of the box for ways to explain to the jury. Early in his career after serving as a briefing law clerk for Mr. O’Quinn, he worked as an associate attorney for the Ahn Law Firm, the Watson, Kowis & Rossick, PC and Griffith Garza LLP. From 2015 to 2016, Mr. Elizondo also provided his services as a senior trial attorney with the Law Offices of Thomas J. Henry. He remains affiliated with Texas Wears Association, the Texas Young Lawyers Association and the Houston Bar Association. Looking towards the future, Mr. Elizondo endeavors to continue growing his firm, fulfilling his contracts and attaining the preferred verdicts of his clients.
