Brett Wentz, Attorney and Owner at Wentz Law Firm, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in law.
Inspired by several factors including encouragement from his sister and other attorneys, Mr. Wentz felt that law suited him as a career choice. While pursuing an undergraduate degree, he interned at a law firm, which further solidified his decision to pursue the legal track. Moreover, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from East Carolina University in 2003, and subsequently enrolled in the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law at Campbell University to study law. Upon graduating from the aforementioned institution with a Doctor of Jurisprudence in 2005, Mr. Wentz was admitted to practice in the state of North Carolina.
Since 2007, Mr. Wentz has been the founder and principal attorney of Wentz Law Firm. The practice focuses primarily on criminal defense law in the Pender and New Hanover counties of North Carolina. A highlight of his prestigious career thus far has been his defense of a client who was charged in a racketeering case through the Western District of North Carolina. Mr. Wentz attributes his success to hard work, integrity, and a bit of luck. As a testament to his success, he has been named a “Rising Star” in the Super Lawyers publication for four consecutive years. To remain aware of changes in the field, he maintains professional affiliation with the American Bar Association, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the National Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers. Outside of work, he enjoys family time and hunting during his spare time. In the coming years, Mr. Wentz hopes to continue his practice in criminal defense.
