Mr. Denberg prepared for his career at the University of Illinois, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1956, and continued his academic pursuits at the DePaul University College of Law, where he earned a JD in 1959. Originally, he had no plans to become a lawyer. After completing law school, he joined the military, serving for six years in the National Guard before receiving an honorable discharge. Upon completing his military service, he intended to go into show business and was a part of a three-person singing group. After recording several records, Mr. Denberg listened to the advice of his father and began utilizing his legal education, acting as a co-owner and attorney at Bloom & Denberg from 1971 to 1981. Since 1981, he has worked as a partner at Schwarz & Freeman, additionally contributing as of counsel to Michael Best & Friedrich, and in 2007 he started as of counsel at Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP, where he continues to work to this day.

In addition to his primary professional pursuits, Mr. Denberg has maintained affiliation with numerous organizations, including the Illinois State Bar Association, the Illinois State Bank Association and the Chicago Bar Association. In recognition of his high standards of personal integrity and legal excellence, he has achieved the esteemed AV Peer Review Rating from Martindale Hubbell. Mr. Denberg cites Irving Block of the Block & Solomon law firm as a mentor in his legal career. Mr. Block gave him his first position, and he learned a great deal in his five years of experience with the firm. He attributes his success to his work ethic and in the coming years he plans to continue his work for as long as he can.
