Mary Voce, Chair of the Cross Border Tax Planning Practice at Greenberg Traurig LLP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in corporate and international taxation.

Ms. Voce prepared for her career at the University of Michigan, earning a Bachelor of Arts in 1966, and continued her academic pursuits at the University of Virginia, where she received an LLB in 1969. She later graduated from New York University with an LLM in 1975 and has been admitted to practice law by the State of New York, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Tax Court. Ms. Voce began her career as an associate at Breed, Abbott & Morgan in 1969, and in 1977 she rose to the rank of partner at the firm. In 1993, she started as a partner at the firm’s successor, Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan, where she remained until 1996. After contributing as a partner at Coudert Brothers from 1996 to 2003, she accepted a position as the chair of the Cross Border Tax Planning Practice at Greenberg Traurig LLP, where she works to this day.

In addition to her primary professional pursuits, Ms. Voce has found success in her written and speaking work. She co-authored “Blockchain and Cryptocurrency: Federal Income Tax Issues” in Tax Notes in 2018 and “Investing in Puerto Rico: U.S. Tax Considerations” in 2017, and authored “The Tax Benefits of Moving to Puerto Rico” in Private Wealth in 2017, among myriad further publications. She served as a speaker at the Guanhua Business School of the Beijing University Delegation in 2014 and the University of San Diego School of Law’s Procopio International Tax Institute in 2007. Ms. Voce has been recognized for her excellence with numerous awards, including being included in the Best Lawyers in America for tax law since 2007, in The Legal 500 in the United States from 2006 to 2019 and being listed as one of the Top 50 Female Attorneys in the New York Metropolitan Area in 2009. As a further testament to her success and experience, she has been selected for inclusion in the sixth and eighth editions of Who’s Who in American Law.
