Christopher Rolin has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in civil litigation, legal malpractice and liability law.

Citing the influence of watching his uncles who were judges, with one becoming a federal judge, as influences on his career, Mr. Rolin is honored for more than five decades of legal practice. Since 2001, he has augmented his experience in the field with his sole practice, the Law Office of Christopher Rolin. He previously protected client’s rights as a partner with Newkirk, Newkirk & Rolin, with Rodi Pollock, with Haight, Dickinson, Brown & Bownsteel and with Meserve, Mumper & Hughes. He started as an associate at Meserve Mumper & Hughes in 1996 and was made partner at the firm in 1972. One of his most notable career moves came when he was in his early 30s and changed law firms because he wanted to help clients through more trial work. He went to the largest defense firm in the city at the time and became involved with legal malpractice, which was something that was not well known at the time. The field developed and became more accountable, and he has been a well-respected attorney in this practice since.

Mr. Rolin prepared for his legal career in his academic pursuits, first earning a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California Berkeley in 1961. He continued at the University of Southern California Los Angeles to receive a JD in 1965. In 1966, he was admitted to practice in the state of California. Furthermore, he is a certified California Specialist in Legal Malpractice. On top of working with some of the biggest and most respected legal firms, Mr. Rolin has served as an expert witness on standard of care for attorneys. The highlight of his career has been the pro bono cases he did for people who could not afford a lawyer. In addition, he is proud of his work that resulted in a recovery as an expert witness in a case of $35 million.

Mr. Rolin has maintained affiliation with a variety of organizations that have aided in professional development. These organizations include the American Board of Trial Advocates, the Association of Southern California Defense Counsel, the American Arbitration Association, the Los Angeles County Bar and the Lawyers Professional Liability Bar Association of Southern California. He has also served on the board of directors for Legion Lex since 1991 and has held various civic roles with Wellness Community (now Cancer Support) and the Homeowners Association. Looking toward the future, Mr. Rolin hopes to enjoy the benefits of his successful career which include the beach, hunting, traveling, and enjoying his two grandchildren.
