Location: Orlando, Florida, United States
Timothy Terry, Attorney, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in family law.
Mr. Terry has worked as an attorney for more than 40 years, establishing himself as a consummate legal professional in family law. Though he has worked in private practice for many years, early in his career, he garnered instrumental experience in his career as a law clerk for Judge Charles R. Scott of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and also as a law clerk for Judge Warren L. Jones of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. Mr. Terry served as a staff law clerk for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida, and from 1984 to 1993, he leveraged his experience, serving as an assistant state’s attorney for the Ninth Judicial Circuit of Florida.
Mr. Terry prepared for his career at Duke University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, in 1973, and continued his studies at The Florida State University College of Law, earning a JD in 1976. Throughout his career in family law, he has always found it most rewarding when he is able to help others get their lives under control. Mr. Terry knows that family law is highly contentious—lawyers need to help their clients be aware of potential issues and complexities that may arise, and he aims to always anticipate the other side’s next move. He advises those aspiring to work in his field to always think about the client’s needs first, and to spend time with each individual client in order to best understand each and every unique case.
