Initially certified as a welder and working for major oil companies, Mr. LeMoine suffered a back injury that led him to have to reevaluate his career choice. He decided to go to law school and began his education at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, where he graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in 1983. Afterward, he earned a JD from Southern University in 1986.
Mr. LeMoine is certified to practice law by the United States District Court for the Western District of Louisiana, the United States District Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the Louisiana State Bar Association. He was fortunate enough to have an inspiring mentor, Darrell J. Hartman, who initially encouraged Mr. LeMoine to attend law school and hired him after graduating. Currently, Mr. LeMoine operates a private practice in Abbeville, Louisiana, and also serves as the municipal judge in Capalin, Louisiana.
Outside of his immediate professional responsibilities, Mr. LeMoine is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Louisiana State Bar Association, the Vermilion Parish Bar Association and the American Inns of Court. In a career of achievements, the highlight of his professional journey has been helping individuals who were placed in the same trials and tribulations he also had to face in life. As a further testament to his success, Mr. LeMoine has been featured in the fourth edition of Who’s Who of Emerging Leaders in America, the 23rd and 27th editions of Who’s Who in the World, as well as multiple editions of Who’s Who in American Law and Who’s Who in America.
