Peter Linzmeyer, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of IDT Biologika Corporation, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements and leadership in domestic and international corporate law and biotechnology.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Russian Area Studies at Georgetown University in 1964 (including a year and exams at the University of Paris) and received a JD from Georgetown Law Center in 1967, followed by an international law fellowship at the Goethe University in Frankfurt, Germany. Admitted to the Bar in the State of Wisconsin and in the District of Columbia, Mr. Linzmeyer began in 1969 his professional law career at Quarles & Brady in Milwaukee, WI and transferred in 1982 as a partner to Foley & Lardner, based in its Washington, D.C. His expertise was in representation of international clients, principally, German, in connection with their real estate investments and manufacturing operations in the U.S.A as well domestic clients doing business abroad, particularly in Western Europe. In 2009, Mr. Linzmeyer retired from the law firm to take his current position with IDT Biologika, where his extensive international legal experience and fluency in the German language has been exceptionally useful in the representation of IDT’s interests and growth of its vaccine development and manufacturing business.
Mr. Linzmeyer has been recognized as a Top Corporate Attorney in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area. He has been a member of the Board of Directors of the German American Business Council, Wolf Trap Associates, George C. Marshall Home Preservation Fund and numerous corporate and charitable organizations. Windsurfing, long-distance running, playing the piano and writing humorous short stories occupy Mr. Linzmeyer’s spare time. Mary is his wife of 50 years and they have two children, Colette and Bridget and six grandchildren.
