Nancy Grace, Lawyer, Partner, and Managing Member at Wake Family Law Group, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in family law.
Ms. Grace started her higher education at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish in 1982. In 1986, she earned a Master of Arts in teaching, with a concentration in Spanish, and worked as a Spanish teacher at North Carolina State University from 1987 to 1993. Ms. Grace returned to her education, studying law at the University of North Carolina School of Law, and earned a JD, with honors, in 1996. From 1997 to 2006, she worked as a partner at Sullivan & Grace, and since 2006, she has served as a partner and managing member at Wake Family Law Group. Additionally, Ms. Grace has spent time as the law clerk to Judge James A. Wynn Jr. on the fourth Circuit of the North Carolina Court of Appeals. She is a certified family financial mediator, and in 2003, she became a board-certified specialist in family law from the North Carolina State Bar.
Initially, Ms. Grace decided to pursue law as a financial decision but has grown to enjoy the work, as she loves people and finds it fulfilling to help her clients traverse difficult circumstances. She is very proud of the work she does to help her clients, as many people encounter family law as their first experience with the legal system. Ms. Grace is a fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has been recognized for her excellence with multiple awards. She has been named a Super Lawyer in Family Law by North Carolina Super Lawyers since 2008, has been named to the Best Lawyers in America since 2014, and received the Leaders in the Law Award from North Carolina Lawyers Weekly in 2016, among other honors. In the coming years, Ms. Grace aims to work as a mentor, continue to build her practice, and give back to the profession.
