Mr. Kveton was inspired to enter his profession by a high school teacher, whose twin brother was a lawyer. He wanted to become a lawyer since he was in the tenth grade. Following his dream of becoming a lawyer, Mr. Kveton attended Binghamton University State University of New York, where he earned a BA in 1980. He then went to the University of Southern California and received a JD in 1983. Upon receiving his degree, Mr. Kveton was admitted to practice law in the state of California in 1983.
The first case Mr. Kveton tried on his own, when he got through it he realized he liked being in front of a jury and being in the courtroom because that is where he belonged professionally. After receiving his degree, Mr. Kveton became an attorney for Texaco Inc. from 1983 to 1986. From there, he moved to Robie & Matthai as an attorney from 1987 to 1990. In 1990, he moved up in rank to partner at Robie and Matthai, a position he still holds to this day. As a testament to his success, Mr. Kveton has been named a Super Lawyer in Southern California every year since 2005. He was also inducted as a fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America, as a member of the American Bar Association, the American Business Trial Lawyers Association and the American Board of Trial Advocates, among various others.
