Gilbert Irvine Low, Lawyer at Orgain Bell & Tucker, LLP, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the field of law.
After graduating with a BS from Stephen F. Austin University in 1954, a close friend of Mr. Low’s was drafted into the U.S. Army but he did not want to go alone. Mr. Low, being a loyal and dedicated friend, enlisted in the United States Army to accompany his friend. After returning from the service, Mr. Low received a job working as a teacher for a year. Thanks to his sister’s encouragement, Mr. Low enrolled in law school and earned a JD from the University of Texas in 1960. His bar admissions include United States District Court, eastern district, of Texas in 1961, the United States District Court, southern district, of Texas in 1970, and the United States Court Appeals, 5th circuit, in 1962. Additionally, he has been admitted to the Texas bar since 1960 and has worked as a partner with Orgain, Bell and Tucker in Beaumont, Texas from 1966 and 1986.
Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Low considers the highlight of his career be making many friends during his years practicing law. Currently, Mr. Low goes into courtrooms every day to help out other lawyers and is glad he is able to do so. As a testament to his success, Mr. Low is a fellow of the American Bar Foundation and Texas Bar Foundation. He holds membership with the American Board of Trial Lawyers, the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Texas Association Defense Council, the Jefferson County Bar Association, the Littlefield Society, the International Academy Trial Lawyers, the International Society of Baristers, the Sons of the Republic of Texas, the Texas State Historical Association, and the Philosophical Society of Texas. Furthermore, Mr. Low has been lauded with the Outstanding Alumni Award from the University of Texas School of Law in 2012 and has been featured in the 10th edition of Who’s Who in American Law.
