Mr. O’Connell became involved in his profession because his father, Kenneth J. O’Connell, was a law professor and went on to be the chief justice of the Oregon Supreme Court. He earned a BS from the University of Oregon in 1963, a JD from Boalt Hall School Law in 1966, an LLM from New York University in 1967, and was admitted to the bar in Oregon in 1966 and in Arizona in 1970. Mr. O’Connell has been a partner and attorney at O’Connell and Bosse since 1979 and has found immense success in estate planning and asset protection for large estates. He has represented a wide variety of people, and since one of his client’s company went public, Mr. O’Connell has continued to successfully retain and ain this 2.2 billion dollar client. Mr. O’Connell enjoys working for large estates and specializes in complicated estates and planning.

Sharing his knowledge with others, Mr. O’Connell has written books and articles on tax and law-related topics such as asset protection strategies.
