Mr. Lynard Hinojosa, JD, LLB, Lawyer at Hinojosa & Forer, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in the probate process.

Mr. Hinojosa chose his profession as a lawyer when he was a senior in college because he was looking for the best way to provide for his wife and child in the future. He analyzed his personality and felt that being an attorney best suited his personality. It was accidental but it was the right decision.

Mr. Hinojosa received a full scholarship to attend Yale University, where he earned a BA in 1964. Receiving a full scholarship was significant, because he was the first person in his family to attend college. While attending Yale University, he played football until he broke his neck and missed a semester at the school. Mr. Hinojosa received support from Sam Chauncey, the Dean of Men at Yale University, who played an important role in helping Mr. Hinojosa find his career path. From there, he earned a JD from the University of California Los Angeles Law School in 1967. He is a recognized expert in the fields of probate and trial litigation and administration.

The most memorable case of Mr. Hinojosa’s career was when he won a case after the previous attorney had an evidentiary sanction placed on his client. Because of this, he was not able to produce any evidence to defend his client. Mr. Hinojosa was still able to win the case by using his litigation and cross-examination skills. This was his greatest achievement. His career began as an attorney for the County Counsel in Los Angeles in 1967, where he remained until 1972. From there, he became a partner of Schibel & Hinojosa for 10 years before starting a private practice in 1982. After four years, he moved on to become a partner at Hinojosa & Wallet in 1986 where he stayed until 2016. Since 2016, Mr. Hinojosa has been a partner at Hinojosa & Forer. He was also a member of the probate and trust executive committee for The State Bar of California from 1996 until 2002.

In recognition of Mr. Hinojosa’s illustrious career, he has received the Arthur K. Marshall Award from the Los Angeles County Bar Association in 2015 and was named to the 100 Best Super California Lawyers in 2019. He has also been listed to Super Lawyers for 15 consecutive years. As a testament to his hard work and dedication to his field, Mr. Hinojosa has been inducted as a fellow of the American College Trust and Estate Council. He is also included in multiple editions of Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in American Law.
