Today, he leads his team at the helm of Juhola Law, located in Columbus, Ohio. He focuses his practice on guardianship cases and manages all matters relating to the legal relationships created when a person or institution is named in a will or assigned by the court to take care of minor children or incompetent adults. Mr. Juhola also offers legal services in probate estate law and trusts. When asked of his accomplishments in his career, he shares that he has been successful because of his broad range of experience from nearly four decades of work blended with his even-temperedness.
Prior to establishing his private practice in 1991, Mr. Juhola held prominent roles within the field of law. He was the executive director for the Ohio division of the Professional Education System Inc., from 1989 to 1991, a staff attorney for Smith, Clark & Holzapfel from 1988 to 1989, and an assistant director for the Ohio Legal Center Institute from 1980 to 1988. Mr. Juhola’s experience is backed by his education and professional distinctions. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Hiram College, which he earned in 1977 and a JD from Ohio State University, achieved in 1980. Mr. Juhola is admitted to practice law in the state of Ohio, as well as in front of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the sixth circuit and the U.S. District Court for the southern district of Ohio.
In recognition of his professional excellence in his career, Mr. Juhola was the recipient of an Award for Outstanding Pro Bono Service from the Columbus Bar Foundation in 2001. He has remained involved in his professional community over the years through his memberships with the Ohio Bar Association, the Columbus Bar Association, the Worthington Estate Planning Council and Phi Betta Kappa. As he looks to the future, Mr. Juhola intends to continue offering his expertise in guardianship to clients throughout Columbus, Ohio, in the years to come.
