Dennis E. Harrold been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Lawyers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in litigation.

Today, he excels as a partner of McNeely, Stephenson, Thopy & Harrold. The firm provides top of the line legal work in a wide range of legal matters including corporate and business litigation, personal injury, real estate and estate planning. Throughout his career, Mr. Harrold has focused his practice primarily in litigation; however, his trial experience spans both criminal and civil cases. Today, he restricts his trial practice to civil litigation in state and federal courts. In addition to this impactful work, Mr. Harrold commits himself to working as a school board attorney for the Shelby Consolidated School District and the Blue River Careers Program. Previously, he has found success in prior roles including as an attorney for the Office of Family and Children for the Shelby County Government, partner of Bate, Harrold & Bate PC, partner of Soshnick Bate & Harrold PC, as an associate of Adams & Cramer, and as a public defender for the Shelby Superior Court.
Mr. Harrold entered his field because he felt that it was an honorable profession that would allow him to help others. He prepared for his career by attending Indiana University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in business management and administration in 1969 and a JD from its Maurer School of Law in 1972. From there, he became admitted to practice law in the U.S. district court for the northern and southern districts of Indiana, the U.S. court of appeals for the seventh circuit and the Supreme Court. In recognition of his professional excellence, he was the recipient of a Top Ten Attorney Award from the National Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, a Top 100 Trial Lawyer Award from the National Trial Lawyers Association and a Civility Award from the Indiana State Bar Association. Additionally, he was honored with an AV Rating from Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Harrold was also named an Indiana SuperLawyer and honored among the top one percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel. As he looks ahead to the future, Mr. Harrold intends to continue providing excellent work as an attorney.
